What we have been doing...

We have been very busy the past couple of weeks. I have not done very well of keeping my blog up-to-date. The Farthing Boys' have updated blogs almost daily, so I am trying to do better!

Last week, Timmy got an early Christmas present. He has driven a 1996 Chevrolet Camero since 1995. He ordered it brand new 12 years ago and LOVED his car! However, it decided to die on him on his way to work from lunch last week. Now, he is finally the owner of a truck. He has wanted one for years, and finally drives an Avalanche. I love the new car smell and wish I had a new one, too. Oh well, maybe some day...

Sunday nights after church we have eaten at Jack's restaurant the past couple of weeks. Last Sunday night, several people were eating there from another church. They were older and one of the men pulled out his harmonica and started playing Christmas songs. I, of course, was snickering with Timmy's cousins, until I realized Noah was dancing next to the man!!! Then, he requested that the man play "I'll Fly Away" and sang with the group! Here is a picture of him, face in hands, watching in awe the man with the harmonica:
Ethan loves bath time! He laughs and kicks and is almost bigger then his bath tub! He now weighs 14 pounds and is 24 inches long! He is almost out of 0-3 month clothes and moving right in to 3-6 months clothes and size 2 diapers! I just love him! He is such a happy and good baby! He goes to bed every night by 10 and most days sleeps until after 8!
I hope all of you have a very happy new year!

Merry Christmas!

Santa visited Cave Springs Sunday night! Noah was none to excited, either! However, we did manage a couple of poses with Santa holding Ethan and one of Noah looking on. He did tell Santa he wants a guitar with a pic and a fort.

Tonight, however, just before bedtime, Noah started telling us that he does not want Santa Claus to come in to our house. I guess the whole concept of a big man coming in our house to eat our cookies, drink our boiled custard and leave presents behind scares Noah. We are hoping once Noah realizes that Santa really does leave presents, that next year he will be more excited.
Here is Noah as an ox:

Merry Christmas everyone!

Christmas Present Opening...Phase 1

We had our Christmas dinner and gift opening last night. We got home from Poppa and Nanna's around 5 and ate roast, carrots, potatoes and corn and opened our gifts from each other. We go to Granny's for Christmas Eve and Nanna and Poppa's on Christmas Day, so we started having our family Christmas together on the eve of Christmas Eve. Noah had a blast! Every gift he opened was "just what I always wanted!" His favorite present? His very own laptop! A few minutes after opening all the gifts, Noah picked his computer up and started running down the hall. When Timmy asked him where he was going he said, "To use the bathroom with my computer!"

Here is what the living room looked like after Noah (and Ethan) was finished!

Gingerbread House

Timmy, Noah and I had lots of fun in the kitchen Tuesday night! While I made candy to send to the dealership, Timmy and Noah made a gingerbread house! Noah says it is the "best gingerbread house, ever!" They were very particular where all the gummies went and Noah decorated the windows and door all by himself!

O Christmas Tree(s)

As Timmy the elf is frantically helping Santa, I thought I would take advantage and post while I am at my 'watch station' i.e. the study outside of Noah's bedroom.

I will never forget mine and Timmy's first Christmas together. I had to get the perfect (artificial) tree and bought one a foot bigger than we needed at our first house.

Then Noah came along and I had to get a smaller one for his room, so he could have his own tree!

Now, 7 years later, we have a third small Christmas tree that Ethan can call his own!

It is hard to believe that Timmy and I have been married for 7 years on January 6th! Two and a half years later, Noah Spencer was born on May 20, 2004. Three years after that, October 2, 2007, we were blessed with Ethan Samuel!

I have so much to be thankful for---especially my boys! I love Timmy, Noah and Ethan and am so glad we have each other!!!

Christmas Pictures

So, Wednesday night I decided to dress the boys dressier for church, so we could do Christmas card pictures. I took about 30 before finally getting a shot decent enough for our cards.
Okay Noah, a REAL smile, please!

Noah---please stop trying to hold Ethan by the neck...

Okay-now Ethan is falling...

Where did your brother go???????Finally-30 minutes later and 4000 pictures later...MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

P.S. Look at their ears. They are identical!

Back to Work!

Well, it has only been 3 weeks since my last post...sorry about that! I have been so busy getting back to work that I hardly have any time on my computer at home! I did return to work last Monday. I have been gone for almost 10 weeks and I started a new position upon my return, so I am adjusting to being back at work, a new job and a new office! For those of you who don't know, I have been working at AGAPE Child and Family Services for 8 years, now. I started out working as the part-time receptionist in our Jackson, TN office, to full-time administrative assistant to our Jackson office, to administrative assistant to the development department in our Memphis office, to events coordinator in our Memphis office and my recent promotion to the office manager to our Jackson office. Very exciting! I love love love it and even more I love my schedule. I work in the office until 3 Monday-Thursday. It is a wonderful and fulfilling job and I am really proud of where I work. Okay, enough of that...

Our biggest accomplishment recently????????????????? ETHAN IS SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT!!!!!!!! Yes, that is right. For almost 2 weeks now, Ethan is sleeping any where from 7-9.5 hours at night. Noah slept all night at 7 weeks and now Ethan started at 8.5 weeks. Awesome! I cannot believe we got lucky enough to have 2 kiddos on some semi-normal sleep schedule. I also have the boys napping at the same time in the afternoons. This afternoon, however, I have one asleep in his bed and Ethan still has not awoken from church this morning. He is still in the carrier, but it is next to his crib! This, I am most proud of!

Ethan had his 8 week checkup Friday before last and he weighed in at a whopping 13.1 pounds and 23 inches long! He is in excellent health and all his tests are normal. This is an answered prayer! Noah and Nanna accompanied us to his 8-week check up so Noah and I could get our flu shots, as well. Noah did not cry at all...my arm hurt for 2 days! Ethan has grown and changed so much over the past 10 weeks, it is hard to believe. He just goos and coos and laughs! I just love it when his eyes light up! For now, he is a total mama's boy. That is nice, considering Noah is all about his Daddy! I will savor this, for now.

Here are some pictures from Friday of Noah in his superstar glasses and then, of course, "Efan" had to try them on too.

Lastly, here is my all-time favorite picture of Noah on his Poppa's tractor:

I hope everyone is doing well! This is all of the updates I can think of for now. I will not wait as long before my next post! Love you all~~~

Another Concert Performed by None Other than: Noah!!!

Noah makes up new songs almost daily. Today he was performing for us. I have attached the video. Please note that he starts singing with the word 'Jesus' and it quickly turns in to the word 'snow flake'...Prepare yourselves to be awed...

My Handsome 2 Older Men!

I had to post these pictures from when Timmy and Noah came home from church yesterday. They are so handsome! Which prompted me to purchase this (the shirt, not Noah):

Ethan's 1st Sound: GOO!

Ethan is developing the sweetest personality. He has started seeing lights and finally enjoys sitting in his bouncy seat and swinging in his swing! He will lay in both for several minutes watching the lights and hearing the music. He made his first sound this week. It is the sweetest "goo" you have ever heard! I have posted a video of Ethan lying in his bouncy seat this morning. If you listen closely, you will hear his noises! ~C

Introducing...Jack Sparrow the Pirate and Squirt, the Sea Turtle

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Only 2 weeks later...

Here are all of the cousins on Timmy's side. Can you spot the sea turtle?

This is the cutest sea turtle ever! His costume was way to big and he wore it for a total of 10 minutes! Worth every penny!! My little monsters!!!!

I finally have some Halloween pictures. Ethan is much bigger since this picture, but still as cute! This coming week will be Ethan's first real week of outings. We are travelling to Kentucky Thursday morning, will be back in Henderson Thursday afternoon and are taking Ethan to church for the first time Sunday night! Finally!!! He will be introduced to the public outside of family and doctors! Time is flying by and I cannot believe my newborn is almost 7 weeks old and my other baby will be 4 in May!
I hope to post before Thanksgiving, but if I don't get to it, everyone have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday! I am so thankful for 1)My Christian family 2) our friends 3) our health and the boys health 4)ALL of our blessings!
Oh---and the best part about this coming week: Friday is SHOPPING day and then we get to decorate for Christmas!!!!

Presenting...Loafer Socks!

Before Ethan was even born, I ordered many clothes...but, my favorite item that I purchased from GAP is:Aren't these just the cutest socks you have ever seen??!!

Here is the coordinating outfit:

Big Brother's semi-coordinating outfit:

And Ethan took this one of he and mommy:

Maybe I will have more interesting pics and stories to post after 3 more weeks when we are no longer confined to the house. For now, posts with similar pictures and various outfits will have to do! :)

Noah Sayings

I forgot to mention on an earlier post: Noah is quite the comedian. His oldest joke, you might ask? "Q: What is a bear without socks? A: Bearfoot!" I think he copied Little Bill, but he doesn't mind.

The other day while Noah was sick he constantly tried to go in to Ethan's room where we were keeping Ethan and myself sequestered. Finally, I tried to explain that Ethan is a baby and babies have to go to the hospital if they get really sick. Noah, with the most serious expression on his face asked, "To bring back a little girl?" I didn't realize that Noah only associates the hospital with babies and seriously thought we would just go and pick up a sister. If that were the case, Nanna and Poppa would have gotten us that for Christmas 2 years ago!

I promise to post Halloween pics soon!

Have a great week!

Happy 1 Month Birthday, Ethan (Tomorrow)

Finally...another post! My camera battery was the problem, so we are up and running again. However, this did not happen until yesterday, so I am waiting on pictures of the boys in their Halloween costumes to be emailed to me in order to post them here! I will shortly!

Ethan continues to eat constantly and grow! He has gotten so big, so fast! No more newborn diapers, or outfits! Only size 1 diapers and 0-3 month clothes, for now!

The time is flying by and a I cannot believe Ethan is 1 month old tomorrow! We still have not officially gotten him out in public and are waiting until Thanksgiving to do so. However, Noah still managed to contract the stomach bug and throw up while we were trick-or-treating. Very exciting. Needless to say, we made it to 3 houses. Oh well...better luck next year! We had absolutely 0 trick-or-treaters, ourselves. I am VERY disappointed and now have candy running out of my ears. More for Noah to sneak!

Will post Halloween pics soon!

Enjoy these of Noah being such a good big brother!

2 Week Check Up Update

Everything is finally running semi-smoothly at our house!! We are getting used to life with 2 kiddos and Noah seems used to the fact that his baby brother is here to stay! I did walk in to our bedroom tonight to find Noah "helping" Ethan out of his swing. Full headlock. No lie. I almost died, but was reassured by Noah that he was "Just helping with Efan."

My camera is acting very strange and I am having to take it to be worked on. I have only had it for 4 weeks. I am not very happy about that...therefore, I am posting a week old pic of Noah for this post...so handsome. I love this picture of Ethan in the hospital...he no longer uses a pacifier, but I loved it when he did!

We have commented several times since Ethan has come how big Noah looks. My baby now looks like a little man!

Ethan's 2 week check up was Friday. At birth, he weighed in at 7 pounds 5 ounces. 2 weeks later....9 pounds 4 ounces! He was 19.5 inches at birth and is now 22 inches long. His Daddy is VERY pleased about that! I cannot believe it! He is only 2 ounces (yes, I said 2 ounces) smaller than Noah was at BIRTH. He has gotten big, fast!

We are all doing great! I love having 2 kids...Tonight is Ethan's first night in his big boy crib. We purchased a video monitor, as the nursery is across the house. I am hoping he sleeps well, so we can all sleep well! Will post the status of his sleep later.

That is all I have for now....oh...the dr. said we can't take Ethan anywhere other than grandparents/family house for 5 more weeks, because of the weather! YIKES! We all have to get flu shots (except for Ethan, of course) next week. Yuck.

Take care, Cameron

New baby...New pictures!

We are slowly getting adjusted to life with a 3-year old and a 1-week old. It is great! Noah is getting more used to having someone else share the spotlight. Two children are much harder than one! I am currently working on a 'schedule' that will balance time with both Noah and Ethan. I think it will work! Nanna is here for the week and Noah is loving it! Today they baked Halloween cookies. He even helped Nanna wash the dishes...and the entire kitchen! His favorite part is that she gets to sleep with him at night! Thanks for the posts and the thoughts! We appreciate it! ~Cameron~
