War Wounds...

Timmy is playing on a co-ed softball team this year and the second game of the season the team was short a couple of players. So a good friend of mine, volunteered she and I to fill in. I was stoked. Up to bat and I hit it down the third base line! I did not have my cleats, so I was wearing my regular tennis shoes. First mistake. I took off running like the wind and hit the smallest, little, tiniest divot right before the first base. And down I went. Sliding on my knees and literally falling into first base. Timmy said all he could hear was me hollering, "Oh shoot!!!!!" The umpire called me out because you cannot slide into first base. I assured him that I did not slide, but that I FELL. AND I was SAFE. AND I have the scars to prove it! :)

Summer Baseball

We had a busy, busy summer that consisted of 90% baseball. Ethan played on a co-ed tee ball team and Noah played in the 7-8 year old ball league and then was selected to play for the All-Star 7-8 year old ball tournament. Both of the boys loved it and especially loved that their Daddy coached and pitched for them! Here are several pics of our ball season this summer........

It's Been A While....A LONG While! 15 Months in Review...

I cannot believe I have not blogged in over a year! This is what Facebook has done to my blogging! We have had so much going on over the past 15 months. Noah is now 8 and Ethan turns 5 in October! Ethan started Freed-Hardeman preschool in February and after the first week of complete separation anxiety he ABSOLUTELY loves it! I was able to re-arrange my schedule at work so I only work until 2:45 every day and am able to pick both of the boys up from school. One of the many benefits at working in a clinic is the health insurance. Because of Ethan's 3mcc, we were quoted a health family benefit plan from a local insurance agency of a whopping $1500/month. Thank goodness for our benefits!!!! Noah started third grade on August 1st. What happened to the days of summer lasting thru August??? It seems like the summers keep getting shorter and shorter. Today we hit a milestone and Noah actually let me drop him off at the front door of the school and he WALKED to his class all by himself. BIG DEAL. His third grade teacher is Mrs. Becky who is a good, good, great friend of mine and we are absolutely THRILLED and thankful that both of our boys have good, Christian teachers that we can trust. It is a great feeling.

Ethan has not had a Lebonneur check up in over a year. We still monitor his protein intake and he is on daily carnitine medication. I monitor his labs thru the clinic every few months to make sure they are all normal. He continues to show the dr.'s how awesome our God is. All labs have been great and he has had absolutely ZERO symptoms of this disease. We are thankful.

Noah has made all stars for the past 2 years in Dixie youth baseball here in Henderson. He will actually start fall ball next month. We did take a small break from baseball, but will be starting back shortly. Timmy spent his summer coaching Ethan's tee ball team and Noah's baseball team and then assistant coaching Noah's all star team. He will also be coaching the fall ball team that Noah will be on. I love that man.

I am again the president of PTO at Noah's school. Noah is very excited about that. I sure hope things are easier this year! Between school, PTO, ball, church, baths and bedtime, we stay busy!

As soon as I can figure out how to upload pics on this new blogger, I will get to downloading!

I'm back! Yay!!!!!

It's Been A While...

I have not blogged all year. So, this is my attempt to update the past 6 months! Lame, I know!!! We have had so much going on that I don't know where to begin. This is probably going to be the longest blog post ever, but I will try to post more frequently!!
The boys love, love, love going to Poppa and Nanna's house. A few weeks ago, Noah got to learn how to shoot a bb gun. And he actually hit the target! I love this picture of he and Poppa. 2 of my favorite boys!

We have spent lots of time goofing off and taking pictures of ourselves. The boys constantly want to use my phone to take pictures. Ethan prefers taking pictures of his own feet. I thought this one turned out well. I love how you can almost hear the boys laughing in this one!
Noah's teacher, Mrs. Nancy, gave the boys these tinted sunglasses. They both resemble Elton Jon in this picture...

Easter was a success at our house too! Easter week end, we took the boys to see Ethan's first movie at a theater, HOP, which was very cute! The boys did great. Then, the Easter Bunny came and the boys racked up!
The egg hunt was indoors, due to the weather, but still fun....
                                                               The big one.
We spent all day in KY at Poppa and Nanna's. I love how sweet these two look! Ethan still looks mischevious....
Uncle Ronnie and Aunt Pam gave the boys this fabulous playhouse...they love it!
I LOVE this picture of "BabyChloe"!!!!!!!!
We've already spent a few days at the park. We took this picture right before leaving a couple of weeks ago and spent hours at Chickasaw...
This is my best friend Tiffany. We went to the Carl Perkins Exchange Club benefit. The theme was 70s and we had a great time finding outfits. Yes. We are wearing Bump-Its.
Field day was a success again this year. I love that Timmy takes off work to spend the day at Noah's school! I don't know who had more fun...
Ethan takes after his Daddy. He can fall asleep anywhere...on the couch...
                                      ...in his Buzz Lightyear outfit....
...in the shopping cart at Wal-Mart...
                                                 ...and in the car!
Noah's last day of school was yesterday. I cannot believe I have a second-grader! This is one of his good friends, Caraline. She saved him a seat on the last day of school...so CUTE!!!!
The boys are constantly playing in water...
...or in mudholes...
Timmy is coaching Noah's ball team again this year. He is also the commissioner for Noah's league. Here is a picture of Noah with the game ball!
This is Noah and his friend Tyler Meek. I have known Jennifer from Mayfield since I was 4! We took swimming lessons together years ago. And now our boys look so grown up!!!!
Noah won the Citizenship award in his class this year. He also received an award for making the all As this school year.
Things have been very busy here! This is just a brief look at what all has been going on! I will try to update more soon! Love you all! C

MeRrY ChRiStMaS, HaPpY NeW YeAr, EtC...

Another successful Christmas has come and gone...
Ethan received the drums he has been asking for for 3 months...
'Santa' came and ate every single sugar cookie...
Noah received 3 castles, Batman/Joker stuff and every other toy he asked for...including a video/digital camera. Which ended up with a picture of me in a towel after a shower that was shown at Timmy's aunt's Christmas dinner...
Daddy enjoyed the new Wii games more as much as the boys did...
We took the boys to see Ice/Snow at the Opryland/Gaylord hotel in Nashville the week end before Christmas. Granny, Aunt Kim and cousins Braden, Makayla and Riley went with us! We had a great time!
 The ice sculptures were amazing!
The temperature inside was 7 degrees. That is why we got to wear these fabulous coats/parkas. Notice Ethan on the back left. He was so bundled up that he could not move. We literally had to pick him up and carry him up the steps. It was so funny!

We rang in the new year with several cousins at the house! We had a blast until 1:30 in the morning and have had an awesome week end of being hermits and playing UNO tournaments. I really, really dread Noah going back to school in the morning! One of his Christmas presents was a Legos alarm clock. He was so excited to set the alarm for 7:10 in the morning, so he can get up "by myself" in the morning. Noah has pulled 2 more of his teeth since my last post. Another bottom tooth and his front, middle tooth. 2 days before Christmas. Each within 24 hours of the next. He has become quite the tooth puller!

Timmy and I will celebrate 10 years of marriage Thursday. I cannot believe I just typed that. 10 years!!! Oh my goodness!!!! We are trying to come up with a quick get-away for just the 2 of us, a quick beach trip during Spring break with some close friends and then our fabulous week long beach excursion with Poppa, Nanna and the crew! I am so excited for vacations this year!

Will post soon ASAP! Love!

P.S. The only New Years' resolution I have had for the past 3 years has been to lose weight. I have finally reached my goal weight and lost 30 pounds since March of last year! My New Years' resolution this year? Be more appreciative for what we've got!

Visit from the Tooth Fairy

Thanksgiving morning proved to be very exciting around our house! Noah got up extra-early and pulled his first tooth! I cannot believe my baby has lost his first tooth!!!! Due to inflation, the Tooth Fairy left him $5.00!! WOW! A few years ago, Noah decided on Christmas Eve that he did not want "that man" i.e. Santa Claus to come in our house. I thought that was so strange that I had never thought before that a big strange man entering our home during the night might scare the children! However, Noah soon got over that fear. When we talked about the Tooth Fairy, his fear came back! He did not want the Tooth Fairy to come in his house! We decided that the Tooth Fairy probably looks similar to Tinker Bell, so that seemed to make everything okay!

First missing tooth picture!

Sneaky Boy...

Look where we found Ethan sleeping last night!!!
Snoozing in front of the oven!!!
Didn't even flinch when Timmy tucked him back in bed...
