We're Still Here!

Contrary to my last post, I cannot stand snow!!!! Really! After Christmas, I do NOT want snow! Noah has missed over a week of school and what do we get again today? Snow! Geez Louise!!! Anyway, not much has been happening around here the past couple of weeks! Just enjoying being a family and ready for the spring!
Why, oh why, will they not open their eyes? Ethan wants to sit by Noah whenever they eat. Usually, he ends up under Noah.
This is our newest addition! Rick (the owner of the clinic where I work) gave us his 30-gallon fish aquarium! So, Noah picked out new fish for his Valentine's Day. We spent 2 hours in the pet store. Noah is very particular about which fish can live in his aquarium(s)! Yes...they ALL have names!
Ethan loves to play hide-and-seek and can count to 8!

Here he is! Notice his new hair cut? I think it makes him look at least 3!

I took off work today, since Noah was going to be out of school for President's Day and we are all still in our pajamas and running wild! I did get the house cleaned and most of the laundry done!

Will post again soon!

Finally...a REAL snow day!

We got 8 inches of snow this week end!!!! Noah and Ethan were with Poppa and Nanna during the storm Saturday night, but we got them Sunday afternoon with plenty of time to play in the snow! Ethan will hopefully get to play in the snow next year.

Snow Day...Sick Day...

This is what we woke up too this morning...

Why are mommy's boots on his hands you might ask? He said he forgot his gloves!
Noah decided to make a snow angel. We really didn't have enough snow for this, but it made for a cute picture! Our day started off great! We woke up to snow and I just love my view from my back window. The above pictures are of the back and side yard.

After playing in the snow, Ethan threw up again. Let me clarify that last sentence. There was no playing in the snow for Ethan. That only happened during his naptime. He did throw up once yesterday, but we didn't make too big a deal of it as he was still running around and playing. However, he threw up again today. And did not act like he felt well. He actually let me hold him and rock him and that NEVER happens. By tonight, he was feeling much better and actually ate some. He has drank juice all day and that is really all we could do.

However, Timmy has thrown up several times today. He is off again tomorrow and already in the bed! Hopefully, tomorrow will be a better day. I have already disinfected and cleaned, so hopefully there will be no more...we shall see! Noah has been fine. He has pajama and pizza party day at school tomorrow and he is very excited about it!

We got all of Ethan's lab work back today and his protein was actually low. The nutritionist thinks we should sprinkle the Ivalex formula on his food. She also suggested adding to his milk. He is now allowed 8 oz. of whole milk a day. But the adding of medical formula? She obviously does not know Ethan very well!

That is all of the updates for now! Keep my parents in your prayers...they have no electricity or telephones...

p.s. Did anyone notice how many times I used the word 'throw up' in this post? Too many.

The Burks Bunch Returns

We are back! It has been over a month! Things have been crazy around the Burks house! I have taken up taebo 3 nights a week and between that, work, church and family I have really let this blog slip! Below is a video from a couple of weeks ago of Ethan rolling over. Can you believe how big he is?! He is in the 50-75th percentile on everything! All of his blood work is normal and we now are going to LeBonheur every couple of months! Another answered prayer!

Noah got to enjoy snow for the first time last week end. My camera has been on the fritz (another part of the reason I am behind) the past couple of weeks, so I did not get any digital pictures! He had a wonderful time. He made snow angels and he and daddy threw snow balls at all of the neighborhood kids!

I am so ready for spring to be here. I am tired of the boys being cooped up in the house! Noah is ready to play outside and I am ready to work in the flower beds and yard!

I hope everyone is doing well. I promise not to get this far behind again!
